Summer is here

Do you know it is already middle of May? I'm now 3 month and 2 weeks old. I have accomplished many things. I can 1 )laugh out loud when daddy or mommy plays with me 2) roll over half way 3) rotate 90-180 degree 4) on stomach, raise chest supported by arms 5) bring both and together and reach for an object 6) turn in the direction of a voice or follow an object from side to side 

I also celebrated my first mother's day with mommy and daddy. On mother's day, mommy and daddy took me to this event called "Passport to Taiwan" at Union square.  The event was organized by  Taiwanese American communities  to celebrate Taiwanese American heritage.  It was super hot that day and mommy over dressed me. I woke up from my afternoon nap because I was sweating. Later that even, I took a photo with mommy. I love mommy very much. Daddy was jealous so I also took a photo with daddy. I had a  great day

I'm a little tiger

Mommy's high school friend Ann and her sister came to visit me last weekend. Mommy met Ann in Vancouver British Columbia Canada when mommy was only 13 years old. Ann's sister Jean was holding me in the picture.

Later that night, daddy was playing with me on the playing mats. I was doing tummy time. In the last picture, I was looking at myself in the mirror

oh, so why I call myself a little tiger? Well, Ann and Jean got me this Tiger outfit from a Disney store. Mommy put it on for me this morning. So, I'm a little tiger, Rrrrrrr. Well,  not exactly scary looking  in the picture below because I just finished eating nene. Did I hear someone calling me a lazy fat cat?!?

Mommy has enough of me, so she put me into the bouncer chair.

Weather has been so nice lately in NYC. Last Sunday (April 15th), mommy and daddy took me to Columbus circle and central park. We took the subway there. I wore the new cloths mommy bought for me. Also, the new shoes grand mom bought for me. Mommy later told me we strolled through central park and later went to Time Warner center and F.A.O toy store. She had to tell me that because I slept all the way when we were out. I woke up when we came home. haha

After we came home, daddy was playing with me on the bed. We were playing the game called "yes sir"

 Later that evening, I was resting on daddy's chest and feeling very comfortable. I had so much fun on Sunday.

My new friend-Little golden pig

Last Sunday, mommy and daddy's friends came to visit. They have a four year old daughter named "En". En means No.1 in Swedish. She is almost 5 years old and her nick name is "little golden pig" because she was born in the year of the pig. She is very cute and funny. She really wanted to hold me so daddy gave me to her. She was pretty good in holding me and I didn't cry at all

Grand mom left NYC 2  and I have been spending time with mommy for the past few days. Although I miss grand mom, I really enjoy bonding with mommy. Mommy will play with me and talk to me. These days, I tried to talk  to mommy by making sound like "ai", "a-hoo", "chi", "ah ni coo", "coo-chi". Mommy always respond back to me and I laugh...

Today, Dad, Mom and Grandmom took me to take these immunization shots. The doc probably didn't know how much I have been through to fight for jaundice a few days after I was born. I took a short nap while on the way to the clinic in order to be ready for this piece of cake.

A stupid nurse tried to scare me by laying out the needles. She had no idea where I come from..... Tai Family..... We consider needles as soft massage.

I cried but not because the needles hurt me. It's because my mom held my hands too tight.

I had to pretend that I was scared so my dad would hold me tighter like you see in the photo. I love my dad's arm. He is so strong.

I love my swing

Did I tell you I use to hate the swing. I would only sit on it for no more than 10 minutes and wanted grand mom or mommy to hold me. However, recently I have discovered that sitting in the swing is pretty comfortable. I actually napped in it this morning for almost an hour.

Last night, grand mother took a picture of mommy, daddy and me. We look pretty good as a family eh?

Mommy and daddy brought me a stroller. Yesterday was my first time riding it. Before that, mommy used to take me to a walk by putting me into a career. I was a little scared when I first sit in it. Of course I got use to it very quickly. The weather is getting warmer in NYC. However, since I haven't gotten my immunization shots, grand mother wanted to make sure I dressed warmly. To be honest it was a little too warm. The temperature was 23C.

I love daddy

I love weekend because daddy is home with me. On Sunday I morning I didn't want to nap so daddy put in on the playing mat. It has animal like owl, bird and squirrel. I was so curious because when daddy touched them, they made funny sound. I was very curious

Last that evening, daddy gave me a bath. Before putting me into the bath tub, daddy washed my butt because I pooped (haha). We have this puj bath tub that can fit into the sink and allows me to sit on it. Puj bath tub. This is my first time sitting in it so I was a little terrified.

My new sleeping position

I woke up this morning and felt very happy. Mommy was changing my dirty diaper. I pooped ALOT this morning hehe.

After that I did some reading with mommy and grand mom. Mommy got me those black and white books which have pictures of various background. My favorite one is the picture of the fish.
 Grand mom then put me on the bed and let me did tummy time. I was lifting my head and turning it left and right. Then I got tired, and started dozing off. Mommy then gently patted me on the back. At first, I was still resisting to nap. However, it felt too comfortable. Next time, I will learn to sleep on my stomach in my crib.

I do nap during the day...

Mommy has been so worried that I do not nap during the day. It is true that I'm a hyper baby and doesn't fall asleep easily. Yesterday around 5pm, mommy put me into the carrier. She took me for a walk on the hallway outside of the apartment. I was feeling very comfortable and started dozing off. When we came back to the apartment, I put my head down toward mommy's chest. I could feel her warm body, and her breathing up and down. I was soon falling asleep. Mommy was so glad and she was able to nap with me on the sofa. I slept for 2 hours hehe. Here is the picture to prove. Can you see my little head??

 My god mother, Cindy visited me this afternoon. I was not behaving myself and being fussy again. God mother rocked me to sleep. I felt so comfortable. However, when she put me to my crib, I woke up in 15 minutes because I was hungry again... hehe

Finally, the weather is so nice today. Mommy and daddy took me for a short walk. Since I am still a little jaundice, it is good for me to get some sunlight. It is my first time out to a place other than doctor's visits.

Jasper loves grandmother and mommy

I love grandmother because she holds me all the time. When I cry or being fussy, she will come and "rescue" me. During the day, she usually is the one who puts me into sleep. I know when grand mom walks into the room. I also like grand mom helping change my dirty diaper.

Mommy is also learning to take care of me. She is doing a great job. Yesterday, I was feeling so gassy and was being fussy. Mommy gave me a "I love U" massage and helped me passed many gas. I felt so much better afterward and didn't cry non-stop and violently like before.
 Also  last night after eating "nene" (breast milk in chinese), I wasawake. It was already 3am in the morning and I knew mommy was tired. She held me for a while and I started to fall asleep. However, my eyes didn't close completely. Mommy put me down to my crib, put her hands on my chest so I felt very secured and kissed me goodnight. I slept all the way until 6am this morning.

1 month old Jasper

Time flies. I can't believe 4 weeks have already gone by. On March 3 2012, Josh and I took him to his 1 month visit. He weighted 8 lbs and 5 oz. For a long time, I was doubting myself for not producing enough milk. The statistics reflected the fact that we are both doing fine.

On the same day, we gave Jasper his first real bath. He was enjoying himself. Josh and I were so nervous. By the end of taking his bath, he was looking so comfortable. After this, he napped for like a good 2.5 hours.

It's his dad's birthday, Feb. 2nd and dad and mom were going to have a dinner party with friends in a Japanese restaurant. Mom had her regular doc check. Jasper couldn't wait until her due date which is Feb. 14th and wanted to steal his dad's birthday.
